Virtual Platform Information
Your webcast account MUST be created with the email address you registered with. If you have created your account with the wrong email address, please create a new one with the correct email address. We cannot create additional accounts at this time.
We are very excited for you to join us on our virtual platform for some interesting lectures provided by a wonderful group of speakers.
Watch our informational video in order to learn more about our virtual platform. This will answer all the questions you may have about how it works.
Our online platform is called Webcasts. To access it, please click here. It is a simple platform and does not require any downloads, just an active internet connection.
If you are registered for GLEC, you will need to create an account on the Webcast system in order to access the lectures. Creating your account is easy, all you’ll need to do is give your name, email address, and OE tracker number. Please use your full, legal name and NOT a nickname - this is how we will send credits to ARBO. We have made this information accessible to everyone by putting it on our website, but if you try to create a webcast account and you did not register for GLEC, you will not be able to attend any lectures.
These are LIVE courses that are time-stamped from the time you enter the course until the time that you leave, or the course ends. Your credit will be sent to ARBO and you will receive it in a couple weeks. Leaving early or switching courses while in progress will void COPE credit. Both Thursday and Friday have multiple tracks happening simultaneously. You may only attend one lecture at a time.
Each account on webcast is unique to you and set up to allow you to only access lectures given on the days you registered for. You MUST create your webcast account with the email address you registered for GLEC with.
You will be able to see all the course offerings on your homepage, but you will only be able to view the courses that are available on your days. If you try to access a lecture that you do not have access to, you will receive this error message:
If you see this error for an event that you believe you should have access to, please confirm your registration options.
Each course will have a chat function at the bottom of the screen, this will allow you to ask questions that the speakers can respond to and answer. Please be respectful and professional in the chat. Any inappropriate comments will flag your account and you will be banned from that lecture. We encourage the use of the chat as speakers will be online and available for the duration of each course.
To access speaker handouts, click here and click on the course title to see that handout. They can be downloaded to your computer, phone, or tablet.
The lecture videos do have a pause button if you need to step away from your computer. We do not recommend using the pause button for longer than 5 minutes.
Once you exit out, you will take the next course. If you are late to the next course because you paused for a long period of time, you will not receive credit for that course if you have not watched the full lecture.
Moving Forward to Next Lecture
After your course has ended, you will need to return to the portal home by exiting out of your current tab or by clicking on the exit button in the top left corner. Once you return to the portal home, click view now on the next lecture!
Your attendance and engagement in the lecture will be automatically tracked and reported to ARBO.
Another option to track your attendance is with the OE tracker app. At the end of each lecture, each QR code will appear on the screen for 1 minute. If you miss it, you will not be able to go back to it. You can use your smartphone to scan the QR code and your course attendance will be sent to ARBO and you will receive an email confirmation within a few minutes.
The MOA strongly encourages the use of this app. Search for OE Tracker in the App Store on your iPhone or Google Play on your Android.
